Candidate announcement: Chris Rippy

Chris Rippy for County Commissioner (D-3)

submitted by Chris Rippy

My name is Chris Rippy and I am pleased to announce I am running for County Commission in District 3.

I’ve been a resident of Warren County since 2009. I have 19 years of experience as a Social Worker, serving in multiple positions in Warren and surrounding counties. My work experience in Warren County has allowed me to engage with families, develop strong relationships, and help expand community resources to better support families.

My career has helped me to have an extensive understanding of individuals and families. It takes an open mind, understanding, good communication, positive engagement with people, critical thinking, compassion, and just simply listening to what others have to say. I believe it is important that decision makers, even with opposing opinions, work together to make the best decision for the people and the overall development of Warren County. My work experience will not only encourage this, but has played a key role in my decision to run for County Commission in District 3.

My wife, Stephanie, and I are very proud to raise our family here. She is a vital and key part of our family. She is supportive and the backbone of my journey for County Commission District 3 seat. Stephanie currently serves as the Instructional Coordinator at Warren County Middle School. We could not be prouder of our kids as well. Our oldest graduated in 2020 from Warren County High School and plans to establish his barber business in Warren County after becoming a Master Barber. Stephanie and I continue to encourage and stress education to our other three children who are currently in school.

Parenting and education are of key importance and will always be a topic I will devote time and effort into. Warren County must always value its educational system, not only for their students, but also for teachers, administration, and staff.

We have been very blessed to have found our home, careers, and church family in Warren County. Representing Warren County as a Commissioner details much more than just the position. I was raised in a home where Christianity, values, morals, hard work, and treating people like you want to be treated were highly encouraged. I feel like I naturally contain all these qualities and they have shaped me as a person with a servant’s heart.

My genuine desire is to serve the people of Warren County. I would be honored to have your support and your vote. Thank you and God bless Warren County, TN.
