Candidate Announcement: Dana Mullican

Mullican seeks county commission seat

submitted by Dana Mullican

My name is Dana Hillis Mullican. I am running for District 2 County Commissioner. I am married

to Monte Mullican and have one son, Michael. I have been a teacher at Warren County High School for over 30 years.

As an experienced educator and as someone who has led and served on committees, I know the importance of teamwork. As your commissioner, I will research each topic and make the most informed decision with the facts I have. I will listen when needed but will not hesitate to speak up for what I think is best for our county.

I have a B.A. from MTSU, M.A. from Tennessee Tech and Ed.S from MTSU. I love learning and

want to bring that passion to the job of commissioner. I am looking forward to reading and

learning more about county projects and researching how to improve upon what we already

have in place.

Good things are happening in Warren County but we should always strive for progress.

Whether it is getting needed improvements for the animal shelter, making sure there are good

paying jobs, or having more affordable housing, there are always more things we can do to

improve our county. I want education to continue to be a priority. I want to make sure our

schools are safe and know that teachers and students have what they need to succeed.

I want to be on a commission that works together for the greater good. We need progress for the future of our community. We need a vision of what we want Warren County to be and the long-term plans on how to achieve that vision.

I appreciate your vote and will proudly serve the citizens of District 2 as your commissioner.

Early voting for the August 4 Warren County general election begins Friday, July 15.

The Warren County Sports Authority is offering all 2022 candidates (challengers and incumbents) the option of announcing their intentions to run on our website. There is no charge to the candidate, it is free and accessible to all readers. Announcements are in the candidates' own words. The WCSA only provides the platform.
