Matheney holding parent meeting

Coach Ben Matheney is putting out the call. Any youngster looking to become the next gridiron great should report to WCMS Thursday afternoon.
The Warren County Middle School coach will hold his first parent meeting for football this Thursday, March 11 at 5:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria. Matheney is asking all parents of interested players to attend the meeting.
“I’m excited to start the season and hopefully return to a bit of normalcy,” said Matheney. “I will give parents the opportunity to ask questions relating to the season and I’ll give them the best answers possible.”
Matheney also plans to unveil some new members of his coaching staff at the meeting. The full staff hasn't been finalized yet, but expect it to have plenty of former Pioneers helping out the young kids on the gridiron.
“It’s a good time for the Pioneers. We're going to have a number of former Pioneers wearing a whistle for the first time,” said Matheney.
Matheney and the Pioneers will start workouts Monday, March 22. Workouts will be on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the spring.
Spring practice is set to begin May 10.
