Pioneers selling Peaches at Three Star Mall this weekend

Mr. Football, CJ Taylor to Appear

The Warren County High School football team is selling Georgia Peaches this Friday and Saturday at Three Star Mall. Former Pioneer C.J. Taylor, the 2020 TSSAA 6A Mr. Football, is returning home to greet the public and help support his former team’s fundraiser.

"This has been a great opportunity for our program," said Pioneer coach Matt Turner, who will be leading his team into battle to start the 2022 season on Friday, Aug. 19. "Fundraisers are a big part of a strong program and every penny helps us support these kids who are working hard to make Warren County proud. We use these funds to keep them fed, hydrated and in the best equipment to maintain their health. We hope to see lot of folks from the community out this weekend. Go Pioneers!"

The football team will make 50 percent of all sales at the Peach Stand inside Three Star Mall this Friday and Saturday. More information on purchasing can be found below.

CJ will sign autographs and pose for photos with anyone who purchases a box of Georgia Peaches. CJ was the first Warren County athlete to finish his playing career with over 3,000 yards rushing and 1,000 points on the hardwood. His 2020 season was one of the best in school history - he finished with 2,642 total yards and 29 TDs while leading the Pioneers to their first winning season in 30 years. He also led the Pioneer basketball team to back-to-back district titles, including hitting a game-winner in the title game in 2020 at Sparta.

Taylor will be available from 10 a.m. until noon on Saturday inside the mall. He's thrilled to be back in the area and helping his old team, which still includes several players who he played with under the Friday night lights at Nunley Stadium just two years ago.

"I'm just glad to have the opportunity to come back and give wisdom to kids that were like me in high school and have dreams to play at the next level," said Taylor.

The Georgia Peaches are straight from the farm in Woodbury, Georgia, and they are

grown on peach trees from nurseries in McMinnville. Dates and times for the Peach Stand inside Three Star Mall are:

FRIDAY, JULY 22 -- 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

SATURDAY, JULY 23 -- 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

SUNDAY, JULY 24 -- 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.*

Only 250 Georgia Peach boxes will be sold. They are available on a first-come, first-
