From winter to summer, spring to fall, and on courts, fields, diamonds, dance floors and anywhere else an athlete can succeed, Security Federal and the Sports Authority are going to be on the lookout for the best of the best!

Katie Toney, Lady Pioneer soccer senior
All-state. MVP. Scoring Machine. There are endless ways to describe senior Katie Toney on the soccer pitch. While her talent is undeniable, those closest to her know her by one attribute more than anything else - a great teammate.
"One of the best compliments I have heard about Katie came from one of her teammates. They said Katie was the best person they knew and she always wanted to see other succeed," said WCHS soccer coach Todd Willmore. "With all that she has accomplished throughout her career so far, she continues to be humble and a great teammate."
The two-time, all-state honoree - as well as the top player in District 6AAA since her sophomore year - is already putting up stats this season that will earn her even more honors this fall. Toney has scored 13 goals and dished out five assists through six games, including a four-goal performance in less than 20 minutes in the season opening win over Riverdale.
Toney may only need a few more games to become the top scorer under Willmore, which could make her the best in school history. Toney is up to 89 goals in her career, one shy of Morgan McCormick (a three-time, all-state honoree from 2011-13) and six shy of Ansley Mullican's 95 career goals. As long as the Lady Pioneers continue to play, Toney should become the first 100-goal scorer at the school in two decades.
Racking up that total doesn't happen overnight. Willmore has seen Toney be a threat from the moment she showed up at Warren County High School.
"She currently has 89 goals, which shows you how consistent and great she has been for her program. Katie works very hard at her craft and it definitely shows. She is also a great leader that inspires those around her to play hard," said Willmore.
The Lady Pioneers are scheduled to tussle with one of the Midstate's best Tuesday when Oakland comes to town. It's a good thing the Lady Pioneers will have one of the Midstate's best scorers on their side.
